TERMS OF SERVICE
Your order becomes reserved only when this cake contract is drawn up, signed & 50% (100% in the case the cake is booked less than 14 days in advance) booking retainer is received. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE in the event of a cancellation or date change. Cakes are first come first serve and we only do a limited number of cakes per week.
The balance is due 2 weeks before delivery, 14 days
We do NOT provide refunds for any reason. With our full schedule and our attention to detail, we spend many hours planning and preparing before even beginning on a cake.
Delivery and setup pricing is dependent on location. If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Cakery Creation’s possession.
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment (outside or inside) for the cake. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. Cakery Creation doesn’t not recommend any cake being left outside.
Cake designs can be customized but the result is dependent on the information given to Cakery Creation by the customer. The interpretation of customers’ bespoke requirements and amends to the core designs are approved by the customer during the order process.
Cakery Creation will do its best to match any color requests for icings, but we cannot guarantee an exact Pantone match as colors present differently in different materials. We aim for a perfect match, but this is not always possible. We will do our best to color match samples that are given to us but please keep in mind that we are working with a food product and edible colors. Colors are vastly affected by light and we cannot guarantee exact color matches nor color stability. Cakes should be displayed out of direct sunlight to keep colors from fading out.
We do NOT guarantee an exact cake match if a cake image is provided by client for replication. We will do our best to replicate the design however since every cake designer is different in how they approach design elements there will be differences.
Each cake is made individually by hand, so although every effort is made to ensure consistency, a small amount of variation may occur from the picture supplied.
We work closely with our clients to design a cake that suits their theme, event and budget. We will do our best to interpret your vision into a cake and will also provide you with our opinion of what we feel would look best.
We reserve the right to make last minute changes to the cake design as we feel necessary to obtain the best possible finished product while keeping the original design in mind.
Our cakes and decorations are edible, but we do use wooden dowel and straws to support cake tiers and some non-edible products for support in our figurines and fondant pieces such as wire, toothpicks, etc. Please remove before consuming.
It is your responsibility to read & check the quote thoroughly; any amendments should be made in writing/email.
If requested, we will try to adjust the design where possible, but sometimes this is not possible according to the nature of the request or amount of notice given. If the alteration affects the cost, or preparation work for the original design has already been undertaken, then your balance will be adjusted accordingly.
We reserve the right to change the design at any point if circumstances beyond our control, may compromise the quality of the finished cake. eg. Melting due to weather, internal structure, shapes etc.
Any alterations you wish to make to your confirmed, ordered cake design must be requested in writing to email@example.com. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to make alterations. If an alteration affects the cost, your balance will be adjusted accordingly. We will be able to send you written confirmation of the changes.
We do NOT order or have fresh florals for cakes. If you order florals for the cake, from a florist, please make sure they are nonpoisonous. Also, we cannot store florals at the bakery for the cake. Florals will need to be at venue waiting for us to attach to the cake. We ONLY attach florals to a cake at the venue. We cannot attach them at the bakery and then transport the cake. Please do not have the florals delivered to the bakery.

If you elect to pick up your cake:
Before leaving, please look it over carefully to make sure all details and spelling are correct. You will be required to sign(approving) your order when picking up. Larger custom cakes may not include a box for transport or may be in an open box without a lid
Once you leave our bakery
Carrying your cake/cupcakes: Place both hands under the board of your cake to distribute the weight evenly when carrying. The corrugated cake boards can flex and bend if not fully supported, causing the cake to torque and leaving cracks in buttercream and in fondant.
Cake boxes are not sturdy things…please be careful not to squeeze the sides into your cake’s pretty buttercream borders.
Note: Large custom cakes may not include a box for transport or may be in an open box without a lid
Please arrive in a vehicle with space large enough to carry your custom cake/ desserts.
Place cakes/cupcakes etc in the flattest part of your vehicle: floorboard or SUV flat bed space is best. Your seats are not a good location. Most have some slope to them, and all it takes is a few degrees of slope combined with Arkansas roads, curves, and hills to cause damage.
Be sure items are not stacked around your cake that can fall or slide into your box.
Go DIRECTLY to your cake’s/cupcake’s etc. final destination. Your decorations are made with creamed butter! Every little bump, every little curve, every stop and go affects the solidity of your cake. Reduce the risk by going straight home, reception, restaurant with your cake.
Be sure your cake is not near a floorboard heater or in direct sunlight. Cakes need to stay below 72 degrees to avoid melting. Never leave them in a non-air-conditioned car. Direct sun through glass is also bad.
When determining the placement of your cake/cupcakes etc. at the event venue, keep it out of direct sunlight and avoid increased temperatures near windows. The cake needs to stay below 72 degrees. Do not place your cake outside ever!
Some elements of your cake should not be refrigerated or frozen for long periods of time: chocolate, fondant, and gum-paste. They draw moisture in the cool conditions of the refrigerator, causing condensation and drippiness when you pull them out into Florida humidity.
Cakes that have been hand painted or airbrushed should not be refrigerated. As soon as it comes out, Florida humidity condenses on cold cake, causing food colorings to drip and run.
Sculptural elements and figurines may contain wire supports or toothpicks or wooden skewers for support. Please ask about placement of these items before serving to small children.
Fluorescent Lights and Daylight can fade the color of your decorations, especially items colored in pinks and purples.
About your cake!
Serve Cake at room temperature. It will taste better. You will be able to taste the full flavor profiles!
Cold versus room temperature, does it matter?
Yes, a lot. We bake with real butter because is defines the taste of baking. But cold butter in a cake, cupcake or buttercream will feel hard and lack taste. Please allow cakes to come to room temperature before cutting and consuming. Room temperature cake will be full of flavor and you will be able to taste the full flavor profile you have chosen! Note: If you decide to serve the cake cold we recommend cutting slices with a warm knife (for ease).
How long will it take for your cake to get to room temperature:
Allow two hours for 6” buttercream cakes. Fondant cakes take longer to come to room temperature. Allow 4 hours for 6” fondant covered cakes.
The larger the cake, the more time that is required. Remove from box and set on counter.
